Engineering Design with SOLIDWORKS® 2018 Swept, Lofted and Additional Features
Insert an Extruded Boss/Base (Boss-Extrude 1) ~
feature centered at the Origin.
Insert a Lofted Boss ~ feature. The first profile is the
converted circular edge of the Extruded Base. The
second profile is a sketch on the BatteryLoftPlane.
Insert the second Extruded Boss/Base (Boss-Extrude2) ~
feature. The sketch is a converted edge from the Loft Boss.
The depth is determined from the height of the BATTERY.
Insert a Shell rfBl feature to create a thin walled part.
Insert the third Extruded Boss (Boss-Extrude3) ~ feature.
Create a solid circular ring on the back circular face of the
Boss-Extrude 1 feature. Insert the Draft feature to add a draft
angle to the circular face of the HOUSING. The design intent
for the Boss-Extrude 1 feature requires you to maintain the
same LENSCAP draft angle.
Insert a Swept I!' feature for the Thread. Insert a Swept
feature for the Handle. Reuse the Thread profile from the
LENSCAP part. Insert an Extruded Cut to create the hole for
the SWITCH.
Insert the Rib I feature on the back face of the HOUSING.
Insert a Linear Pattern ~g feature to create a row of Ribs.
Insert a Rib I feature along the bottom of the HOUSING.
Utilize the Mirror Oa~ feature to create the second Rib.
