-;Q~ Maintain the design intent. In the Top-down design process return to the Layout
Sketch after inserting a new component to verify the assembly design intent.
Increase and decrease dimension values in the Layout Sketch. To avoid problems in a top
level assembly, select the same face to remain fixed for the Flat Pattern and
Bend/Unbend features. Save sheet metal parts in their 3D formed state.
The CABINET requires additional solid and sheet metal features. These features require
no references in the BOX assembly. Work in the CABINET part.
CABINET- Hole Wizard and Linear Pattern features
Sheet metal holes are created through a punch or drill process. Each process has
advantages and disadvantages: cost, time and accuracy.
Investigate a Linear Pattern feature of holes. Select a self-clinching threaded fastener that
is inserted into the sheet metal during the manufacturing process. The fastener requires a
thru hole in the sheet metal.
